How Does Soza Weight Loss Work?

Formula Zone Review Board

Soza weight loss works by tricking your body to turn to its fat stores for energy instead of sugar. In turn, metabolic changes begin when fat melts and blood sugar stabilizes.

Soza weight loss is a 60-day program designed for rapid weight loss. It addresses the hormonal and metabolic issues behind stubborn fat. Supplements and a restricted low-carb eating plan are part of the program.

I was unfamiliar with the Soza weight loss plan until recently when a friend who tried it told me about it. I decided to research the plan for myself. Let me share with you what I found.

In this article, we will discuss:

  • What is Soza Weight Loss?
  • How does Soza weight loss work?
  • What can you eat?
  • What about exercise?
  • Is this the plan for you?

What Is Soza Weight Loss?

Soza Weight Loss is a membership-based professional weight loss company. You can join their program through their main website or find a local franchised professional weight loss clinic that offers the Soza program.

The Soza program comprises a network of professional health coaches dedicated to helping you meet your weight-loss goals.

The company was founded not just for people who want to look better but also for those with underlying health conditions that need to be addressed quickly by losing weight, for example, those with prediabetes.

How Does Soza Weight Loss Work?

Soza weight loss is a rapid weight-loss program that uses a combination of proprietary weight-loss supplements and a Mediterranean eating-style plan. It is designed to decrease your appetite, rev up your metabolism, and burn visceral fat.

A Health Coach Explains the Basics

You begin the program by talking with a health coach who thoroughly explains the program. In a nutshell, the program tricks your body into using its fat stores for energy instead of glucose.

Specifically, the program is designed to use up visceral fat instead of subcutaneous fat.

Visceral, or white, fat is the fat closest to your abdominal muscles. As it starts to decrease, your cravings for sugary and starchy foods begin to decrease. Metabolic changes begin, and you begin to lose weight quickly,

You have additional access to your health coach throughout the program.

You Take Supplements

Throughout the 60-day program, you take three supplements provided as part of the starter kit. The supplements are designed to:

  • Support appetite
  • Boost metabolism
  • Increase energy

The supplements help you control your appetite, especially in the beginning on low-calorie days. They are also said to help balance the hormones associated with weight loss. The energy supplements give you the energy to get through the program without feeling fatigued.

You Adopt a Healthy Lifestyle

The instruction manual that comes with the program provides tips and encouragement for living a healthy lifestyle.

Among those tips:

  • Practice mindfulness
  • Exercise
  • Keep a weight-loss journal
  • Get adequate sleep
  • Adopt a personal-growth mindset
  • Reinforce healthy habits with rewards
  • Use eco-friendly ingredients

What Can You Eat?

The Soza weight-loss program includes directions for a low-carb, Mediterranean-style eating plan.

The Soza weight loss plan claims that the types of food you eat are just as important as the number of calories you take in.

The plan focuses on specific types of low-carb foods to eat:

  • The right high-quality proteins
  • Vegetables
  • Non-tropical fruits
  • Organic dairy
  • Healthy fats
  • Herbs and spices
  • Occasional legumes

Members have access to detailed weekly menu plans, phase two and three eating plans, and individual foods nutrition information.

An example of an eating day at the beginning of the plan looks like this:

  • Breakfast: Three egg white muffins with unsweetened almond milk latte
  • Lunch: Four ounces of grilled chicken breast with ½ cup of cherry tomatoes and avocados
  • Dinner: Three turkey stuffed peppers
  • Snack: Half cup of blueberries
  • Water: Two to three liters per day of water, coffee, tea

What About Exercise?

The Soza weight loss plan is focused on healthy eating. It is not an exercise program. The plan’s developers say that many participants lose about the same amount of weight regardless of whether they exercise.

That said, the plan’s developers encourage exercise as part of healthy living. Exercise is also beneficial if you’re looking to prevent sagging skin as a result of weight loss.

Is This the Plan for You?

The Soza weight loss plan may be a good fit for you if you need to lose weight quickly. Perhaps you’ve found that you’re pre-diabetic and need to lose weight quickly to stabilize your glucose levels.

The Soza weight loss plan may also be a good fit for you if you’re looking for a plan that includes supplements. If you struggle with your appetite and energy levels while trying to lose weight, supplements may provide a solution. The supplements also help regulate blood sugar and hormone levels.

Pros

The Soza weight loss program may be a good solution for you if:

  • You’re finding that traditional weight-loss plans are difficult
  • Your metabolism feels “stuck”
  • You crave surgery, starchy foods
  • You want the support of a health coach
  • You suspect that your hormones need rebalancing
  • You need to lose weight quickly
  • You are willing to take supplements
  • You don’t want a plan that focuses heavily on exercise

Cons

The drawbacks of the Soza weight loss program include:

  • A very low-calorie diet during phase one
  • Strict eating plans
  • While there is online membership support, there are no formal peer-support groups or apps in place
  • Supplements may not be for everyone
  • Rapid weight loss may not be sustainable
  • Pricing information for Soza is challenging to find; pricing may vary depending on the website or local weight loss clinic from which you join

Final Thoughts

There isn’t anything inherently “wrong” with the Soza weight loss program, but it’s not for everyone. If you need to lose weight quickly under supervision, it can certainly be an option.

While the Soza weight loss program has been recommended by various doctors online, you should always discuss it with your doctor first.

Any weight loss program requires a commitment. Be sure to go into any diet you select with the right mind frame. And for long-term success, work on adopting healthy habits permanently.
